This is going to be a short post today as I’m posting to try out Windows Live Writer.   And the nice thing is that this software is FREE!  Actually, I’ve already made posts in the past hour to four of my other blogs trying to test this software and tweak my knowledge about it…

I didn’t even know that this software existed until Dr Andy of EzSeoNews mentioned it in his newsletter a while back.  You probably know that I’m a big fan of Dr. Andy Williams and his software.  He’s even convinced me to make all my new sites on the WordPress platform.

I’m finding that I can make websites for my clients using WordPress and because its a content management system (CMS), once the site is built and put on a host’s server, they can control adding pages..

This is great for me as they’re not always calling me up and asking to add pages or change the content of old pages.   And I’ll be having them download Live Writer to aid them with this process… The nice thing about Live Writer is that you can easily add pictures, hyperlinks, tables, tags, and videos to your content and see what it’s going to look like before you publish the post.

In fact, I tried adding pictures to a post to my travel blog a few minutes ago and it worked seamlessly.   Right now, I’m going to add a world map and see if it works…

I’ve got another blog where I embedded a short video clip into it and will most likely be using more videos in the future because it can be done so quickly and easily.

I just wanted people to be aware of this software so that they can make blogging easier and more fun…

PS:  The one downside of Live Writer is that you still have to go into your dashboard and put in title tags and other meta tags plus tags to the post, but Live Writer has a convenient button to the dashboard to quickly login and do this…
